First off, hug your significant other, kids, pets and cars. I saw some serious stuff today. I’m no soldier or first responder, but Christ. I came home and cried. Now cars!
I’m probably going to buy something this weekend or next. Any input on a used Fiesta or a 2018 Forte? Things to look for or whatever?
Post advice or nice pictures of D-Series Dodge Rams to cheer me up.

Those are both very different from a Wrangler!

I decided after the PNW cruise I can't get rid of my ST. So I will be buying a 4th car and some decent winter tires

The Forte will be better in every way.

Ooooohhhhhhh. What's your price point? New or used?

If we’re talking $USD? 7-8K. Less than 20000 miles and older than 2013 (newer better).
I get $500 a month car allowance, I basically want that to cover the payments and insurance. I can write off the rest.

Hmmm... That’s a big ask- Sub 20k miles and sub $8k...

Its not impossible, but in limited to plastic boxes

Nissan versa? A boring penalty box is fine as you'll be keeping the ST and the truck!

If I was gonna do Nissan,we get the Micra which is like a better yet smaller versa!
Maybe a Fiesta, Rio, Forte, Accent or Elantra? Lots of choice in the plastic box category

does a little D count?
seriously, seeing brutal events isn’t much easier for those who do it regularly. we to do debriefs after particularly tough Emergency Room events because it helps. while discussing it on Oppo might/might not be best, talking about with someone closer to home may help. what you saw can’t be unseen, talking about it can help you adjust to it.

I’m fond of the Soul, but everyone knows that. Not sure how cheap those are getting, but avoid the first gen.

In my experience, Kia has been hitting way above their price point in recent years. The stigma crushes their used value, but their interiors are good, they’re reliable, they now have decent power in some trims, and they have good styling in most cases... You could probably get a new one in your budget, too.

The Lil’ Red Express was stunning!
As was this (admittedly not a D-series) F-150:
I mean, when’s the last time you saw one this nice? Around here, it’s probably been close to 15
years!

I took a look, they are all pretty miled out and old in my price range
